Meet Ram Mammadov
Candidate for South Carolina State Senate
“I am a devoted father and loving husband. I believe that family is the most important treasure there is.”
I grew up in a humble, hardworking family in Azerbaijan. Our family fled their homeland when the Nazis invaded in WWII. We learned the importance of community as we suffered the ills and persecution that most minorities do. I immigrated to the United States two decades ago settling in Michigan. I worked for my tuition while attending community college and then matriculated at Michigan State University, where I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. My career began in information technology and it brought me to South Carolina. For the past fifteen years, I have been working as a Quality Assurance Specialist helping financial service companies of all sizes identify and solve complex problems. I am happily married with two children and I am a member of a growing synagogue in Indian Land.
